Sondheim Theatre location
Located on the famous West End ‘theatre road’ of Shaftesbury Avenue, the Sondheim Theatre is surrounded by more legends - the Apollo, Gielgud, Palace and Lyric theatres. It's so central that the public transport links are truly excellent, easy to get to and from day and night. There's a host of top class restaurants, clubs and bars in the area to make your trip to the theatre that extra bit special. Just make sure you leave enough time to battle the crowds and get to the show on time!
By tube
- The nearest tube stations to the Sondheim Theatre are Piccadilly Circus (for the Bakerloo and Piccadilly lines) and Leicester Square (for the Northern and Piccadilly lines)
- 2 minutes from Piccadilly Circus: Head straight out of the station and turn left up Great Windmill Street. At the end of the road, turn right onto Shaftesbury Avenue. The Sondheim Theatre is on your left
- 5 minutes from Leicester Square: From Leicester Square tube station, head towards Leicester Square itself and the Empire Cinema. As you pass the square and cinema, turn right up Rupert Street then left onto Shaftesbury Avenue. The theatre is on your right

By car
- The Sondheim Theatre is in the London Congestion Charging Zone, which applies on weekdays (not including bank holidays) between 7am and 6pm and costs £10 a day. If you drive to the venue after 6pm, you won't be charged
- The theatre is part of the Q-Park Scheme, a brilliant half-price parking deal. The nearest participating car park is the 24hr Q Park Chinatown at 20 Newport Place, WC2H 7PR, where parking costs £18 for up to 3hrs and £24 for 4hrs
