For sheer musical theatre spectacle and an emotional roller coaster, it quite rightly remains the best show in town

About The Sondheim Theatre
Designed by the legendary theatre architect W. G .R. Sprague, the Sondheim Theatre (formerly Queen's Theatre) is the sister to the Gielgud just down the road. The auditorium is large, seating just under 1000 people across three levels. Situated on the famous West End theatre row on magnificent Shaftesbury Avenue, the venue is surrounded by similarly magnificent theatres including the Lyric, Apollo and Palace. After sustaining significant structural damage during WW2 bombing raids, the venue has undergone much renovation and redevelopment, giving it a modern look that belies its real age and history.

A Classic! I see why this has been 40 years in the running. The story is still relevant today.

Great story, presentation, music and performances I am lucky enough to have see Les Mis over 20 times in different venues around the world. This was an excellent production, musically secure, and very well presented (staging, lighting etc), and with some excellent performances (hard to find a weak link). Eponine (Jess Folley) was the best Eponine I have seen: her stage and musical performance was spot-on. The strong story line is a really important element: it pulls you in, enhanced by the performances.
